1.Why we review
The FFGL runs on members' word. Reviews protect every honest golfer's standing. They're not about catching people out: most reviews end with "all good" or a simple correction.
2.What starts a review
- An automatic flag, such as a score far outside your usual range or a big gap between your FFGL and official handicap. A flag only means a person takes a look; nothing happens automatically.
- A report from another member or a tournament organiser.
- Something the admin notices.
3.How a review works
- We tell you. You get an email saying what's being looked at and why. We don't share who reported it.
- You respond. You have 10 business days to reply and send anything that helps, such as a scorecard photo or a playing partner's confirmation.
- We decide. The admin decides fairly, on the facts, and emails you the outcome with reasons. While a score is under review it may be hidden from leaderboards.
4.Possible outcomes
No action: The score or post stands. The review is closed and doesn't count against you.
Correction: A score is fixed or removed, or a handicap is updated. Honest mistakes usually end here.
Warning: A written warning that stays on your record for 12 months.
Suspension: Up to 3 months without posting scores, joining tournaments or commenting. Your membership time keeps running.
Ending membership: Only for a serious or repeated breach, after 20 business days' notice to put it right, unless it can't be put right (like deliberate cheating). You get a refund for the full months left, less the cancellation fee.
The outcome matches how serious the breach is, whether it was deliberate, and your record.
5.Appeals
- Email flaminfairways@gmail.com with the subject "Integrity appeal" within 10 business days of the outcome, saying why you think it's wrong.
- A suspension or ending of membership is paused while your appeal is considered.
- The appeal is decided by someone who wasn't involved in the first decision where possible. Where that isn't yet possible, it is decided afresh, with your new information, and the reasons are given in writing.
- We reply within 15 business days. The appeal decision is final within the FFGL. It doesn't affect your right to go to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or a court.
6.Records
We keep a record of each review and appeal for 24 months, or longer if a dispute is still open. Your information in a review is handled under our Privacy Policy.
