Playing off scratch or better? Respect. You get your own Leaderboard, kept apart from the overall standings. Pick it in the division filter to see where you stand.
Proposed format
- Individual 18-hole net Stableford
- This month: your best round that month, everyone starts at 0 on the 1st
- Season: your monthly bests averaged with 2 ghost months, so joining late never counts against you
- Divisions re-set on the 1st of every month, from your FFGL Handicap
- Joined mid-year? You start where the year is, nothing filled in
- Units on the side: birdies, greenies and friends, points only
The handicap and the Leaderboard
The FFGL Handicap (unofficial)
Everyone starts with the handicap they give us, official or a best guess. From round 5 your rounds start moving it; by round 20 it's the average of your best 8 of your last 20. It's built only from rounds posted to the FFGL and isn't an official handicap.
How the FFGL Handicap worksThis month: the monthly sprint
Everyone starts at 0 on the 1st. Your best Stableford round that month is your score.
The season
January to December. Your best round each month, averaged with 2 ghost months at your division's average. No minimum, and a Best rookie filter for first-season members.
Monthly divisions
Your division for the month comes from your FFGL Handicap on the 1st. Scratch and plus golfers get their own Leaderboard.
Joined mid-year?
You start from where the year is. Nothing gets filled in.
Units
Points only, for bragging: birdies, greenies, Arnies and friends. They never touch your Leaderboard points and can't be swapped for anything.
