Community Rules

Golf's a social game. Keep it warm, keep it honest, keep it kind.

Version 1.0 · Last updated 18 October 2026

1.The one rule

Treat people like you'd treat your fourball at the 19th hole. Chirp the golf, not the golfer.

2.Where these rules apply

Everywhere on the FFGL: profiles and display names, tournament names and comment feeds, Flame Score reviews, course data, feedback and messages to our team.

3.Not on our course

  • Bullying, threats, harassment or intimidation.
  • Hate speech, or attacks on anyone's race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or background.
  • Sharing someone else's personal details, photos or scores without their permission.
  • Statements about a person or a business that you know, or should know, aren't true.
  • Sexual content, or anything inappropriate for a family sport.
  • Spam, selling, recruiting, or betting and gambling talk.
  • Pretending to be someone else, or running more than one account.
  • Cheating, or helping someone else cheat.
  • Anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights (like copyrighted photos).

4.Comment feeds are 18+

Tournament comment feeds are for members aged 18 and older. Keep chirps light and on the golf.

5.Flag it

See something off? Tap flag. Flags go to the tournament organiser and the league admin, and the person isn't told who flagged them. You can also email flaminfairways@gmail.com. Flagging in bad faith, to bully someone, is itself a breach.

6.What happens next

Tournament organisers can hide comments in their own tournament. The league admin looks at every flag and decides, following the steps in Integrity Reviews & Appeals.

Depending on how serious it is, the outcome is one of: no action, removing the post, a warning, a suspension, or ending the membership. Threats of violence, child-safety concerns and other crimes are reported to the police.

7.Reviews and Flame Scores

Rate what you experienced on the day, honestly and fairly. Stick to facts and your own opinion, not rumours. Reviews that are abusive or clearly untrue are removed. Course owners can ask for a correction; see Handicaps, Leaderboards & Reviews.

Every policy, our company details and earlier versions are on the Legal page.
