Beta Tester Terms

The first fourball through. A few extra house rules for our testers.

Version 1.1 · Last updated 18 October 2026

1.Thanks for testing

Beta testers are a small group of golfers, 18 or older, approved by hand, who help us get the FFGL right before launch. These terms add to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which also apply. If they conflict, these beta terms win for the beta.

2.Your free year

You get 12 months free, starting on the day your beta access is approved. You never pay for the beta.

Your free year counts as Year 1 of the loyalty ladder. When it ends, you can choose to renew at the price for that date (R499 if you renew during 2027, R599 a year from 2028, in South Africa), with loyalty discounts from Year 3. Nothing renews automatically, and we'll remind you before it ends.

3.Expect a few divots

It's a beta: things will break, change or move. We may change or remove features while we test.

Scores you post during the beta carry over to launch. If a reset is ever needed, we'll tell you at least 14 days before and give you a copy of your scores.

We may end the beta, or a tester's place in it, with 14 days' notice by email, or straight away for a serious breach of the Community Rules. Your account and scores carry on as a normal free-year membership unless you're removed for a breach.

4.Your feedback

Tell us everything: bugs, ideas, gripes. You allow us to use your feedback to improve Flamin Fairways, permanently and without paying for it, other than flame credits where the Flame Credits & Rewards rules give them. We won't name you publicly without asking.

5.Keep previews between us

Some screens are marked "Beta preview". Please don't post screenshots or details of those publicly until we launch them. Everything else, like your own scores and results, is yours to share.

6.Promoting during the beta

Beta testers can apply to be promoters. The Promoter Terms apply. Free beta sign-ups don't earn promoter fees.

Every policy, our company details and earlier versions are on the Legal page.
